Presentation to the Colorado Senate Joint Committee on Rising Utility Rates
In response to months of high utility bills, the Colorado legislature convened a special committee to examine the causes of high gas prices and explore policy solutions to mitigate future impacts on Coloradans. On March 20, Meera Fickling, senior clean energy policy analyst at WRA, offered extensive testimony before the committee on why gas rates have risen in Colorado, and what lawmakers can do to begin to solve the issue.
