The 1989 Legacy Society honors donors who make a planned gift to WRA.
We were founded in 1989 with the belief that the environment needed a strong community of dedicated advocates. That community used their expertise, time, and passion to advance solutions to the increasingly complex environmental issues of the West. This created a strong foundation of support and passion for change that propelled WRA into what it is, and what we benefit from, today.
Members of the 1989 Legacy Society are visionary individuals who name WRA in their will, trust, or other estate plans, making solutions possible in the future for generations to come. By giving this way, you can reduce the taxes on your estate while leaving a lasting impact to the cause you care about. There is no minimum gift to become a member and all ages are welcome. The Green Society honors the generosity, loyalty, and vision of donors who give to WRA for 15 years or more.
It is named in honor of the late Kelley Green, an environmental lawyer who dedicated years of her life to the West and founded what has grown into WRA today. Every gift matters – so donations of any size qualify for recognition in the society.
Ongoing annual support recognizes how the magnitude of the issues that we tackle often take years to solve.
