To protect the Colorado River and create a brighter future for water in the West, we must first remember the ways in which it connects and inspires each of us.

One River, Millions of Stories

The Colorado River provides water to millions of people, supports world class recreation, gives life to Western communities, and sustains critical wildlife habitat as it winds its way through some of the most treasured and sacred landscapes in the nation.

All across the West, we are connected by this one, powerful river. Growing water demands and climate change threaten the river and our collective way of life. But we believe that the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the region will allow us to step up to meet these challenges. If we work together, we can secure a bright future for the Colorado River.

The river has long been at the center of heated debates over its limited water. Today, key negotiations are underway that will shape how the river is managed for years to come. To protect the Colorado River and create a brighter future for water in the West, we must first remember the ways in which it connects and inspires each of us.

WE INVITE YOU TO SHARE YOUR STORIES AND PERSONAL CONNECTION TO THIS LIFE-GIVING RIVER THAT SUPPORTS COMMUNITES, FISH, AND WILDLIFE ACROSS THE WEST.
