As the Senior Development Writer, Catherine “Cat” leads the organization’s strategic donor communication efforts. She crafts stories, messaging, and giving opportunities that connect with our supporters, helping WRA build lasting relationships and raise critical funding to fight climate change.
Background
Cat is passionate about communicating in ways that inspire action and drive philanthropy. With over fifteen years of experience working across the nonprofit, higher education, government and business sectors, she has a knack for translating complex concepts into accessible, impactful messaging, understanding the value of clear and concise communication to drive engagement and support for important causes.
Before joining WRA in 2024, she served as the director of marketing and communications for Impact on Education, the foundation for Boulder Valley public schools. During her tenure, she elevated the organization’s digital presence, reimagined its fundraising campaigns, and cultivated support for equity in public education. Her background also includes work with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Geothermal Technologies Program and the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies in Washington, D.C.
