One River, Millions of Stories: Voices of the Colorado River
The Colorado River gives life to the West. The river basin has been home to Tribal nations since time immemorial, along with seven U.S. states and two countries. The West is bound together by this wild and dynamic river – whether we’re fishing in the Rocky Mountains, rafting the Grand Canyon, buying produce, turning on the tap, appreciating its wildlife, or advocating for clean water.
We have a historic opportunity to put in place management guidelines that ensure equitable access to water and protect the Colorado River and all that depends on it. To secure the river’s future, we must work together, include Tribal voices, and remember the many ways this one river connects us.
