Area of Focus

Bob is working to evaluate WRA’s progress under the Climate Fix, a 7-year strategic plan for how we use law and policy to reduce carbon emissions from the power sector in the Interior West by at least 51% by 2030 – the amount scientists say is necessary to keep global heating within 2° Celsius and avoid the worst impacts of climate change. By 2025, our plan will lock in commitments and lead to a 105 million ton cut in carbon emissions. WRA advocates for policies that will reduce carbon emissions from electric generation by decreasing reliance on fossil-fueled generation, increasing production of renewable energy and encouraging efficient use of electricity.

Background

Bob joined WRA in 2015. Previously, he was in private practice in Carson City for 30 years, representing clients before the Nevada Public Utilities Commission, including electric utilities, independent power producers, telecommunications utilities and utility customers. His clients included WRA, whom he represented as outside counsel. Prior to entering private practice, he worked for the Nevada Public Utilities Commission for six years, including four years as staff counsel.
