Area of Focus
As Senior Government Affairs Manager, Kevin leads Western Resource Advocates’ legislative, regulatory, and administrative advocacy efforts in Nevada. He works with WRA’s program teams, staff, and coalition partners to develop and advance policies that protect the West’s natural resources and accelerate the transition to a clean energy future. Kevin works closely with state legislators, regulators, the Governor’s Office, local governments, and other decision makers to build support for policies that deliver meaningful results for Nevada’s communities and environment.
Background
Kevin has more than a decade of experience working in federal, state, and local government in Washington, D.C., and Nevada, with a focus on energy, environmental, public lands, and water resource issues. He began his career working for former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and later served in the offices of former Congressman Ruben Kihuen and Congressman Steven Horsford. In these roles, he advanced public policy initiatives, developed legislation, built diverse coalitions, and worked with policymakers and stakeholders across Nevada.
Kevin later returned to Nevada to serve as Policy Director for Las Vegas City Councilwoman Nancy Brune, where he worked on issues affecting the Las Vegas community and gained a deeper understanding of local government and the policy challenges facing Southern Nevada. Most recently, he worked for the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health, where he coordinated federal grant programs and worked with state and federal agencies and community partners to implement funding initiatives and advance public policy priorities.
Throughout his career, Kevin has built strong relationships across Nevada’s political, governmental, nonprofit, and advocacy communities. His experience with state legislators, members of Congress, local elected officials, regulatory agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders gives him a unique understanding of Nevada’s political landscape and the importance of building durable coalitions to achieve lasting policy change.

Favorite Thing About the West
As a native Nevadan, I appreciate the juxtaposition of vast desert landscapes filled with sagebrush and the soaring Sierra Nevada mountains and Lake Tahoe.
