As a senior communications manager, James works to elevate the expertise and policy goals of Western Resource Advocates to the right audiences, media outlets, decision-makers and partners.
Background
James joined WRA in 2022. For the past two decades, he has worked in a variety of industries, including public health, environmental/conservation nonprofits, education, finance, and journalism.
James previously served as deputy director of communications for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Prior to that role, he worked as a senior media specialist for the Center for Biological Diversity’s endangered species and carnivore conservation programs. James also spent four years with Bloomberg as a global data analyst at the company’s Princeton campus.
In addition, James has worked for more than a decade as a journalist for several publications, including The Asbury Park Press, The Bergen Record and Debtwire. He has reported on a wide array of topics, such as crime, the environment, local and state politics, education, and finance.
Education
James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Journalism from Rowan University.
