Area of Focus
As a Senior Transmission Policy Advisor, Jacob promotes effective transmission planning and grid expansion through WRA’s participation in stakeholder processes at state and federal regulatory proceedings. He also supports WRA’s legislative advocacy and relationship building efforts and reviews grid expansion studies, grid modernization technologies, federal transmission planning reforms, and new transmission proposals.
Background
Jacob was previously a Utility Technical Consultant with the Utah Public Service Commission (PSC), where he provided consultation and advice concerning public utility regulatory matters. Jacob also researched regulatory positions pertinent to revenue requirement, rate structures, energy efficiency, and demand-side management programs while at the PSC.
Prior to working at the PSC, Jacob was a Valuation Analyst at the Utah State Tax Commission where he assessed the value of electric utilities for the Property Tax Division.
