Two countries, seven U.S. states, 30 sovereign Tribal nations, and countless fish and wildlife: One River.
With your support, we can keep the Colorado River healthy and flowing.

The Colorado River is the lifeblood of the West – sustaining our communities, irrigating the food we eat, and providing refuge for fish and wildlife as it winds its way through some of the West’s most spectacular landscapes. But decades of overuse and unsustainable management have pushed the river to its breaking point. The snowpack that helps fill the river each spring has reached record lows. Lake Powell and Lake Mead – the river’s two major reservoirs and a source of water and hydropower for communities across the West – are just 24% and 33% full.
We have a rare chance to secure the future of the river, but we must act now.
The Bureau of Reclamation is developing new guidelines for managing the Colorado River. Decisions made in the coming months will shape the West for generations. WRA is fighting for policies that will save water, protect river health, help communities plan ahead, and honor Tribal sovereignty.
We need all-hands-on-deck to protect the Colorado River. With your support, we can keep the river healthy and flowing.
