Over the last 22 years, Western Resource Advocates has made considerable progress promoting clean energy. In 1995, there was virtually no wind or solar generation in the Interior West. Today, there are thousands of megawatts of wind generation providing electricity to consumers in the Interior West, as well as significant amounts of solar and geothermal power generation. By reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and advancing renewable energy like solar, wind, and geothermal, we can reduce carbon pollution and ensure clean air for our communities.
Our goal is to decarbonize the West. We’re working with communities, businesses, and utilities so that at least 35% of the West’s electricity comes from clean energy by 2030.
