Portia Prescott is Managing Partner at Jefferson Prescott Strategies, where she leads a team of experts to assist diversity, equity, and inclusion transformation initiatives which involve outreach strategy, capability-building and organizational change. She is a co-founding member of Black Girls Hike, a movement initiated in 2017 challenging the stereotypes in outdoor spaces and encouraging Black, Indigenous & People of Color (BIPOC Women) to explore nature. She has led hundreds of women on trails because it had become a cultural idiom that outdoor spaces lacked diverse faces and voices in the fight for environmental justice.
