Jon has always believed in the power of states to create change and WRA’s extraordinary ability to develop and drive policy solutions that protect Western communities. During his tenure, Jon fostered ambitious goals and built a passionate and brilliant team to ensure that WRA was fulfilling its mission and creating truly meaningful impact in fighting climate change, including: Reducing 91 million tons of annual carbon emissions, adding layers of protection to more than 8 million acres of public lands from the threats of development, and protecting over 2,000 miles of Western rivers.
As we celebrate this remarkable chapter, we’ll raise a glass to Jon, reflect on the impact of his leadership, and look ahead to the future of WRA’s work. We hope you’ll join us for an evening that honors an exceptional leader and celebrates the community that will carry the organization forward.
