Advance clean trucks in Colorado –

Support cutting greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector!

Colorado has a chance to tackle a major source of greenhouse gas emissions: trucks and other medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. Add your name to support advancing clean trucks in our state! >>

Colorado has the opportunity to start the process of adopting an Advanced Clean Truck rule. This standard would require manufacturers operating in Colorado to sell an increasing portion of electric vehicle models classified as 2b-8, which range from heavy-duty pickup trucks to 18-wheelers.

Colorado has already signed onto a memorandum of agreement with 15 other states committing to:

  • Work together to accelerate the market for electric trucks, and
  • set a goal of reaching 100% of all new medium- and heavy-duty vehicles being zero-emission vehicles by 2050.

Adopting an Advanced Clean Truck rule is a vital step in achieving this goal.

Medium- and heavy-duty vehicles account for almost a quarter of all greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. Electrifying these vehicles is vital to fighting climate change in our state.

And our state needs to do everything it can to act on climate—before it’s too late. We’re already seeing the effects of a changing climate in disastrous wildfires, extreme drought, and exceptionally poor air quality

Colorado can’t wait to reduce emissions from trucks and other larger vehicles. Add your name in support of an Advanced Clean Truck rule today! >>

I support Colorado’s adoption of an Advanced Clean Truck rule. This rule is an exciting opportunity for Colorado to reduce carbon emissions while improving air quality.

Medium- and heavy-duty vehicles account for almost a quarter of all greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. Starting to electrify these vehicles in our state would go a long way towards fighting climate change.

And our state needs to do everything it can to act on climate—before it’s too late. We’re already seeing the effects of a changing climate in disastrous wildfires, extreme drought, and exceptionally poor air quality.

I urge you to support Colorado’s adoption of an Advanced Clean Truck rule.

Thank you,
