  • Director of Development – Boulder, CO

Western Resource Advocates is seeking a Director of Development to lead WRA’s Development Team. Reporting to WRA’s President and serving as a member of WRA’s senior management, the Director of Development is responsible for the development, planning, oversight and implementation of a comprehensive development program that secures financial resources from foundations, corporations, family foundations, government, and individuals to support WRA’s conservation goals across the Intermountain West.  Based out of WRA’s Boulder office, the Director of Development supervises three direct reports and works collaboratively to bring substantial financial resources to the organization and to support its Culture of Philanthropy.

  • Staff Attorney – Salt Lake City, UT

Western Resource Advocates is seeking a Staff Attorney based out of our Salt Lake City office to focus on protecting Utah and the Intermountain West’s land, air and water, using law, science, media outreach. The Staff Attorney will work on protecting the Great Salt Lake, restoring the health of Utah’s national forests, and halting unnecessary and dirty oil shale and tar sands development; Improving air quality along the Wasatch Front and in the Uintah Basin; protecting the health of Western rivers and lakes so they sustain abundant fish and wildlife, remain vibrant parts of our communities, support robust economies, and provide a variety of recreational opportunities; transitioning electricity production away from fossil fuels toward clean, renewable energy and advance energy efficiency in order to prevent catastrophic climate change, improve air quality, and protect public health; and protecting threatened landscapes and wildlife across the West.
